Helping Dogs & Their Owners
Live Their Best Lives
Hiking Boarding Training

Home of Houston’s 2-hour dog hikes!
LemonAid K9 hikes take place on our beautiful ranch just outside Houston with complimentary pickup/drop-off from your home.
Veteran-owned LemonAid K9 offers off-leash group hikes that let your pup run free with their friends in a structured manner, experience nature with all the sniffs, sounds and sights, learn and practice everyday obedience and get those wiggles out! Our clients have seen great results with their pups—toning up their muscles and losing the fluff, becoming more obedient through the constant training repetition, and being less destructive at home due to being fulfilled and happy.

Who can hike?
Most of the dogs we hike are medium to large sport breeds, but we also have smaller breeds who need more than the average daily walk. We hike dogs as young as 6 months old as well as those into the double digits. The basic requirements are that your dog is friendly with other pups and is physically capable of doing a 2-hour hike.

We make it easy!

Complimentary in-home temperament tests are available 7 days a week to evaluate your dog with one of our veteran hiking dogs to ensure your pup will be friendly with the group and is capable of performing the hikes.

Once they pass, we get you scheduled for your preferred hiking dates Monday–Friday where the pups are free to run around off leash with all their buddies. We provide frequent water breaks and perform health checks to ensure they are safe throughout the hike.

Then we bring your tired and happy pup back home to you. If you’re at work or away during drop-off, no problem! We are more than happy to hand off your pup to anyone you approve, or put your pup back inside for you. Rest easy, we are insured and bonded.

Boarding
We offer both short-term and long-term boarding at the ranch and treat all of our guests like family. Many of our clients like to take advantage of our board and train packages as well, to help with obedience and behavioral issues or start young pups off with a solid foundation of good manners.
Always plenty of socialization and play with other dogs throughout the day, a spacious yard to catch some sun and run around, and most importantly lots of love. Boarding dogs may also go on our group hikes at the regular daily hike fee if they pass a temperament test and are physically able to do the 2-hour hike. All boarding spots are first come, first served so please reach out to secure your dates!

Training
We offer board and train packages at our ranch for family pets as well as service dogs—all breeds, ages, behavioral problems and obedience levels.
Everything starts with a free in-home consultation so we can talk about your goals and I can get to know your dog and answer any questions. Dogs are unique individuals just like people and while solid training principles apply across the board, training is definitely not cookie cutter and we make sure to develop a training program that meets your goals and your dog’s specific needs.

All training packages include Monday–Friday group hikes as long as your dog qualifies and passes the temperament test. The power of the pack really elevates training opportunities and is a great way for the dogs to learn how to work together successfully in a fun yet structured environment.

PRICING
• $525 per week of training + boarding fees
• Includes group hikes M–F for qualified dogs
• Complimentary pickup & drop-off

Our Story
Veteran Owned and Operated
LemonAid K9 is a family-owned business run by Nick Lemon, a US Marine Corps veteran who started as a military dog handler and trainer in 2009.
“There is a deep reverence that you gain while training and working with a dog that is specifically designed to save lives through explosive detection. When you start a search, you have to rely on a partner who can’t speak verbally, so the ability to interpret your dog’s nonverbal communication is paramount. I gained an abiding love for working with dogs through my military service and love bringing these skills to help dogs and their owners live their best lives.”
